Welcome to MyKoiKichi.com. This web site is dedicated to all koi enthusiasts. What ‘koi’? I hear you ask. Koi is variety of fish from the family of Carp. The koi I will be talking about here is from Japan therefore, the Japanese Koi or Nishikigoi (that’s what it is called in Japan).
I am writing this blog for a number of reasons.
1) I am associated to the International Nishikigoi Promotion Center (INPC), Japan. That means I am suppose to carry out their activities in Malaysia, i.e. promoting koi from Niigata.
2) I am a passionate koi keeper myself, having two concrete ponds at home, a mud pond in the outskirts of the city, Kuala Lumpur and over 50 pieces of koi at the time of writing.
3) There aren’t many web logs about Japanese koi around. There are plenty of koi dealer websites and a few active koi discussion forums around but they are simply not enough.
So I hope you will enjoy my writings in this website and I welcome any question from you and I wish to see your comments as well.
Thank you.
Regards
Elmen Tan
Dear Elmen:
I am relatively new to Koi and your blog is quite exemplary. Came across your site from the Koi Malaysia site but since I can’t seem to have my sign-up validated (tried a few times), I can’t PM you to view your Koi
. Would love to drop by your place, chat and learn and hopefully pick up a nice Koi or two. I live in Shah Alam.
Cheers mate!

Hi Denning, nice to meet you over the weekend. I hope you will enjoy your koi journey as much as I do. When you need help, you know who to call.
